During the financial year 2016-2017 Brimington Manor was allocated £19,640 budget for Pupil Premium.

  • Our effective KS1 Learning Mentor/ Positive Play time will continue throughout school. Specific small group or 1 to 1 work in reading, writing and maths.
  • KS1 morning sessions will be supported by an additional Teaching Assistant to enhance our core curriculum teaching throughout the year.
  • Better Reading Partnership will continue.
  • First Class Number initiative will support children in number activities in KS1; updated for new mathematics curriculum expectations
  • A new initiative 'Talk Boost' to be used with our KS1 children continuing to need further development in Communication & Language
  • Regular EYFS Learning Mentor time to take place throughout the year
  • The 'Every Child a Talker' to be further developed in our EYFS unit
  • Provision of school uniform for Pupil Premium and vulnerable children.
  • to support enrichment activities both in and out of school ensuring all pupil premium children have access to all activities and After School Clubs. 
  • to further develop the role of Pupil Premium coordinator; closely monitoring Pupil Premium children, initiatives and interventions in school. Linking with Brimington Juniors
